Most people know Japanese dramas for their unusual plot, but in recent years I noticed they got even more creative with these plots, and this drama could be one of the best examples of that. Just who would have thought that taking a bath can be this epic, fun and philosophical.

The main lead Sayoko Oyumino only joy in life is taking a bath, she can really get creative with it and his approach is very philosophical. There are times where I keep nodding to whatever she said, it sounds stupid at first but then I realized that it makes sense. This drama presents you these creative ideas like the use of fruits, turning your bath into a sauna by using an umbrella and lastly the most peaceful bomb ever created AKA bath bombs.

The direction is superb, the execution even more, the use of slow mo with matching classical music makes such scene epic. The voice over is just right and definitely helps with the immersion which I think is the most important thing they nailed in this drama. I feel relaxed and comfortable even though I'm just watching this drama. They have done a nice job making segments very immersive.

But this drama is far from perfect it has its cons and the biggest negative thing is those epic moments can feel repetitive when you see it more than twice. The acting is also a bit stiff at times, the main lead is at least okay but the acting of the second lead could have been better. In particular there is an emotional scene in one of the episodes and the actress just failed really hard. It would have been better if they cast a more experience, versatile, the one who can act comic and serious at the same time.

Overall short and fun drama, this one only has 6 episodes. It also went a bit deep at the end when they associate taking a bath with profound meaning of life.
